5 Ruffled Dresses to Wear to the Office

Posted by Claire Erickson on

Ruffles have been in style a few seasons long now—and when worn as details, they can add an edge to an otherwise "plain," boring, professional outfit. So, you don't have to wear that crazy cutout dress to standout in the office, instead, go for ruffles!

Here are the five dresses with ruffles we recommend you wear to work:

1. Denim Doll Dress

This Denim Doll Dress is long, yet is draped beautifully. The sleeves have a cute ruffle detail on the edge. Plus the belt is in the perfect spot to accentuate the waist. The dress should fit like a glove!

We love the look of these shoes to match the pinstripes on this dress, so all you need to add is your favorite camel hobo bag, and you are ready to conquer the day!

2. All Decked Out Dress

We know, a strapless dress in the office can be risky... but not with a blazer! A black and white houndstooth blazer will look beautiful over this form fitting All Decked Out Dress. Plus, the 360 ruffles will be toned down just enough to add a fun pop to the front of your outfit.

Throw on your most expensive pair of sunglasses, and you will be looking like a million bucks in no time!

COLORS: White, Black, Orange

3. Little Bit of Ruffle Dress

The beauty of this dress is how elegant a simple cut can be. The drop waist is sleek, while the off-the-shoulder cut adds the slightest touch of sex appeal. It reminds me so much of what Meghan Markle would wear on her TV series, Suits!

A wide belt or a bold colored blazer would pair nicely with this dress along with some suede heels.

4. Presentation Ready Dress

If you have read any of my other blog posts, you know that I love long sleeves! They are more practical than layering, and they are prefect for any professional occasion.

I think the name of this dress is extremely fitting, because it commands attention during a meeting, but enables you to add a little flair of your own, sassy personality.

With this dress, I wouldn't add many accessories, but I do recommend a bold red lip, and your hair swept to the side (just like above) to balance out the ruffle on the left side of the dress.

COLORS: Black, Yellow, Blue, Red

5. On the Job Dress

On the Job is right! The length of the dress is perfect for work, and the sleeves broaden your shoulders. And if you don't know, broad shoulders make you look more powerful! So take control, and rock this dress!

Because this dress is 1/4 sleeve, I would add your prettiest collection of Alex and Ani bracelets, or that new watch you might have been eyeing from Michael Kors.

COLORS: Black, Blue
