How to Wear Lace to Work (Even if You Think It's Too Risky)

Posted by Claire Erickson on

Lace, at one point in time, was done intricately by hand. Today, however, it is mass produced, so we can have it whenever we want. And why wouldn't we-- it's so pretty! So now you've purchased the three lace dresses below, but the trouble is you can’t figure out how to make them appropriate for the workplace. Don't worry, we are here you tell you how to style them.

1. Lady in Lace Dress

Unlike the two other dresses we have listed, this dress is not entirely made of lace. This isn't good or bad, it just means it is easier to wear to the office. In fact, it's perfect! The black, lace overlay against the white silhouette is just the right amount of sophistication.

For this dress, try your hair in a French twist and add some glossy, pointed toe black heels.

SIZES: S - XL

2. Long and Lacey Dress

Yes, this dress is entirely lace, but that doesn't mean you cannot wear it to work! This dress is very office appropriate because it is all back, below the knee, and has long sleeves.

We recommend wearing this dress to your biggest board meeting of the year. Show you're serious, girl!

Try some gold, satin heels and a statement ring to break up all the black and add a little fun.

SIZES: XL - 3XL

3. Little Black Lace Dress

This dress is a lovely combination between the other two dresses. Like the Lady in Lace Dress, this Little Black Lace dress is short, and has a delicate black lace overlay. Also like the Long and Lacey Dress, this piece is all black and has long sleeves. You can't get much better than this!

Change things up a little bit and add some red heels that have a big red bow on the heel!

SIZES: S - XL

What ways would you wear these dresses? Let us know in the comments below!
